Qualfon, a mission-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of contact center services, earned a new client in the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry. In February, Qualfon’s contact center in San Antonio, Texas launched an inbound sales program designed to increase auto and homeowner policy revenue for its new regional insurance client. With sales performance more than six times higher than the goal, the Qualfon team quickly exceeded client expectations and is now poised for partnership growth.

“This client had never outsourced before and was seeking a partner with deep industry experience who could accelerate qualified sales lead optimization. Qualfon demonstrated P&C sales expertise, introducing a team of licensed professionals who knew how to identify areas of opportunity, cross-sell a book of business, and turn sales leads into new policyholders,” explained Bryan McCann, V.P. of Client Relations, Qualfon.

Qualfon leveraged more than 20 years of insurance industry expertise to design and launch the program in just two weeks. The proof-of-concept program quickly grew into a successful team managing more and more sales leads as well as expanding from auto policy sales into cross-selling homeowner policies.

Qualfon Summit 2017 Haven for Hope Check PresentationQualfon, a mission-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of contact center services, donated 50 blessing bags and presented a large monetary donation to Haven for Hope, a 22-acre campus that helps people in San Antonio, Texas address the root cause of homelessness. The support effort was part of Qualfon’s annual Leadership Summit, which brought together more than 140 employees just a few miles away from the campus of hope and new beginnings.

“With Qualfon’s mission to be the best BPO and make people’s lives better, our company aims to make a positive impact on people wherever we go,” explained Tracy Flanigan, Senior Project Manager, Qualfon. “In addition to the contributions from our leadership team, many of our employees from across the USA made personal donations that significantly increased our monetary gift and the number of blessing bags we donated.”

Blessing Bags

Blessing bags are gallon-size sacks stuffed with toiletries, snacks, and basic essentials for everyday comfort. As part of the Leadership Summit, employees were invited to assemble all the collected items into bags for distribution.

“Blessing bags seem like a simple gift, but they really serve as a channel to reach those in need. Even our San Antonio host hotel, the Sheraton Gunter, donated soaps and lotions to help out! It truly was a community effort,” said Flanigan.

Qualfon’s employee-run fun clubs are spearheading the efforts, coordinating birthday parties for children and offering crafty entertainment for both adults and children. Haven for Hope is a 22-acre campus of hope and new beginnings providing transformational services to help people address the root cause of homelessness.

“Our partnership with Haven for Hope continues to blossom,” said Steve Tatarian, V.P. of Operations at Qualfon San Antonio. “Qualfon’s fun clubs are a great complement to Haven’s programs, and our employees are eager to put their skills and talents to work for the hundreds of people that Haven for Hope serves every day.”

In August, the Qualfon E.C.H.O. (Everyone Can Help Others) fun club assisted Haven in hosting a birthday party for resident children. The party is now a monthly tradition and ongoing program. With the helping hands of 25 Qualfon volunteers, E.C.H.O. provides party planners, pizza, cake, gifts, and games for a gaggle of youngsters ages 1 to 16.

Other employees and fun clubs quickly followed suit. The Art Club and book club (called a Novel Idea) started experimenting with art activities and reading groups for both children and adults at the campus. Those activities were well received, and starting in January 2017, the Puzzle Club, Sport Club, and Music Club will join their efforts, adding a larger variety of entertainment through Courtyard Gathering events.

Qualfon, a mission-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of contact center services, has launched 22 fun clubs at its contact centers in San Antonio, Texas, giving employees reason to get in the game, hone crafting skills, share common interests, and give back to the community.

“We now have 22 fun clubs and we have launched them all in just a matter of months,” explained Freda Sullivan, Mission Office Site Coordinator for Qualfon San Antonio.

When Qualfon acquired the business of Culture.Service.Growth earlier this year, they discovered a culture rich in team work and a giving spirit. It didn’t take long then, for the Mission Office to roll out employee perks to the new San Antonio sites. As a part of the Mission Office Fun@Work initiative, employee-run fun clubs are the norm at Qualfon, and employees in San Antonio quickly embraced this mission program.

Haven for Hope Slider 1AQualfon, a mission-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of contact center services, and Haven for Hope have formed a business alliance that is helping people in San Antonio, Texas move beyond homelessness. Haven for Hope, a campus of new beginnings for men, women, and children experiencing homelessness, provides housing programs and social support services to help people address the root causes of homelessness. Meanwhile, Qualfon’s contact center provides job opportunities for Haven for Hope residents. As a part of the alliance, Qualfon and Haven for Hope held a tour event in July that offered an inside look at how the partnership works. The event included presentations, site tours, and testimonials from graduates who have used the program to establish financial stability and move away from the Haven campus support network.

“Over the past two years, we’ve witnessed multiple people reach a state of continued independence by following a career pathway that Haven for Hope and Qualfon pioneered together. Through our partnership, we piloted and perfected this program, and this event allowed people to walk in the shoes of a person struggling with homelessness to see for themselves how this alliance is making a positive impact,” said Kenneth Mitchell, Director of Employment Readiness, Haven for Hope.
