Qualfon, a mission-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of contact center services, hosted a Family Day festival, during which 3,819 employees and their families enjoyed a day of fun and games. The event celebrated Qualfon Cebu’s 11th year in operation and was held in Garden Bloc, IT Park, just a few blocks away from the Qualfon Cebu contact center.
Echoing Qualfon’s company mission to “be the best BPO and make people’s lives better,” the theme for this year was: “Together as a family, we make people’s lives better.” Employees donned commemorative t-shirts with the phrase “11 years of making people’s lives better.”
“After days of rain and a long week of changing weather conditions, the sun broke through the clouds just as the gates of Family Day opened. The event was able to push through without a hitch,” said Aimee Sibul, Mission Manager, Qualfon Cebu.

On June 10, the gates opened just in time for lunch, wherein attendees were greeted with free meals and snacks. Qualfon Cebu Site Director, Steve Brown, kicked off the celebration sending a warm welcome to every Qualfon employee and their family members.
Different Qualfon departments sponsored eight activity booths to delight adults and kids alike. From miniature golf and wheel-of-fortune-like games to face painting and a photo booth, there was something for everyone. Entertainment was at every turn with trampolines and inflatable slides and jumping activities for children and adults. Giant mandala artwork, an acrobatic bubble show, and superhero character mascots amused the kids as well as the kids-at-heart. Family Day also highlighted the importance of wellness with a Zumba exercise dance activity in which more than 150 supervisors and employees participated. Additionally, there were mega-fit games, such as tire flipping and a human slingshot.
A raffle featuring a variety of sponsored merchandise was one of the much-anticipated parts of the program. A total of 150 prizes were given away to lucky winners. Sponsorships were also well received with 25 different external vendors providing goods and services including, food and beverages, dry goods, health and wellness, and telecommunications services.
“The Family Day was indeed fun and extremely successful! Most of the employees who were present with their family and friends dubbed it as one of the best Family Day celebrations they have attended,” said Steve Brown, Site Director, Qualfon Cebu.
