Qualfon, a mission-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of contact center services, and employees in its Liberty Lake, WA contact center participated in multiple community service projects as part of a Day of Service event focused on celebrating the first of Qualfon’s seven STRIDES values: Service.
On May 25th, more than 50 employees participated in the Comic Relief Inc. Red Nose Day, raising money to end child poverty one clown nose at a time. In addition, an onsite pet adoption with the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) found homes for pets through the Qualfon employee network. Last but not least, employees donated over 100 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank and donated blood to the Inland Northwest Blood Center.

“The blood drive at Qualfon was major success. Sixteen donors gave 19 lifesaving units of blood. Those units have the potential to save 57 lives! Thanks again for your hard work and for Qualfon’s dedication to serving the needs of the community,” said Rob Balison, Territory Manager for the Inland Northwest Blood Center. “Without people like you and the selfless employees of Qualfon, those lifesaving moments would not be possible for our patients in need. Throughout the past year, Qualfon Liberty Lake Blood Drives have given over 73 units of blood, potentially impacting over 219 lives in the region. This just goes to show the type of caring and goodwill that is present from the top down at Qualfon Liberty Lake. Thanks again, we all look forward to the next one.”
Qualfon Liberty Lake has another blood drive scheduled August 3rd. According to the Blood Center’s website nearly 70% of the greater Spokane community’s blood supply comes from blood drives hosted by local businesses, churches, and schools.
The Day of Service not only helped to save the lives of people in the community, it helped improve the lives of animals as well. Employees found forever homes for some furry friends through the SCRAPS pet adoption services.
Qualfon employee Stephanie Gotlob said, “We adopted our first dog Maxine two years ago, right before we closed on our new house. We loved adopting her. She has made our hearts whole and made us happy. She has needed a friend (brother or sister) for socialization. We are so grateful to have found Honey Bee and add her to our family. I couldn’t think of a better match! Honey Bee is already so loved and spoiled just like her big sister.”
“Some people–for whatever reason–won’t go to a shelter to find their next pet. Thanks to companies like Qualfon, we have a place outside of our shelter to educate the public about our mission and get our animals out into the public eye. We enjoy partnering with community-focused companies like Qualfon that want to help our community and our animals. Half of the animals that were at this event found forever homes. It’s a win, win situation,” said Joanne Meleney, Special Programs Coordinator for the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service. Qualfon Liberty Lake has another event scheduled with SCRAPS on June 23rd.
Liberty Lake Site Director, Matt Carleton said, “Each one these efforts is a living gift to those impacted. It makes me very proud to be a part of our Liberty Lake team. Thank you to all who participated in making the lives of people and animals in our community better!”
