Qualfon, a people-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of call center services, is now serving up fun with the launch of the company’s first FunClubs in Ft. Collins, Colorado. The Outdoor Sports Club and Magic: The Gathering Club both held their initial activities this month, and more than 16 employees participated in the events. Members of the Outdoor Sports Club met at Lory State Park for an evening hike up Arthur’s Rock, and the Magic Club met at the Bishop’s House of Magic for a team meeting and card tournament.
Qualfon’s new Activities Coordinator, Rocio Chartier, organizes all the fun in Ft. Collins. First, she surveyed employees to understand their interests, and then she coordinated the club implementation and registration. Each club also has an employee leader, who helps organize meeting times, track participation, and lead the direction of the club based on the members’ interests. John Hutchison spearheads the Magic Club, and Eric Bratschun is the trailblazer for the Outdoor Sports Club.
“FunClubs are a world-wide initiative backed by Qualfon’s Mission Office, which ensures Qualfon creates opportunities to support its mission—to be the best BPO and make people’s lives better. This program is specifically designed to offer entertaining and educational workshops that help employees relax with co-workers, explore new hobbies, and practice a healthy work/life balance,” explained Chartier. “We’re off to a great start and we are actively planning even more activities and clubs to roll out later this year. My inspiration is to fuel the ideas presented to me and turn them into actions.”
In January 2014, the Qualfon Mission Office initiated FunClubs at its contact centers in the Philippines and in Guyana, South America, and it will continue to implement FunClubs across all of the contact center locations.
